Went to GOLD'S GYM with carol, justin and harish. Saw milky working out there.

What a GAME!
Ateneo vs Lasalle Game 2. How much will a GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET cost? HOW MUCH ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY FOR IT? Will Ateneo win the finals? Will lasalle let them?

I was up early anticipating this dreaded win or die event for lasalle. With my Green shirt and my lucky bracelet I went all the way to starbucks araneta to meet pyao, eunice, chinggay and the rest of my block. It was freaking hot and crowded. Imagine 20000 plus plus people in one freakish place. talk about mabaho, malagkit, maingay at magulo. around 2:00 pm people are still lining up in ticket booths in high hopes of getting tickets for the 4:00 pm blow by blow. cute little kids in team jerseys, parents in face paints, college wannabes grabbing balloons and a mix of green and blue everywhere. now where the hell did all these people come from? what is it with the ateneo and lasalle game? everytime these two meet it becomes an event. but if its an ordinary so so basketball game you can almost count the people watching. scalpers must have a grand time... tiba tiba

We got inside the coliseum around 3:00 pm. Our so early "was here around 10:00 am so i can save good seats" blockmates were kind enough to degrade our UPPER A tickets to UPPER B. Yep an hour before the game and you can hardly find your way through. all the seats are either taken or saved with big bags or a blue and green balloon is nesting on it.

Oh by the way ATENEO JRS. lost to UP JRS. Horaaaah. Of course all lasallians cheered for UP.

When we almost thought the game would start the freakish announcer called for the biased awarding ceremonies. why baised? well i just dont like ateneo bagging all the awards. yep ATENEO for three consecutive years got the MVP award (this is a good sign they never win if they do get it). and guess who got it? VILLANUEVA???? the hell Mike Cortez deserved that award. and he really had a good way of showing that he deserved it during the game. he is a great player if not the best in the league. he knows how to handle the ball. and he knows what to do and when to do it. gash every lasallian will remember that slow mo dunk he did. and the in yer face answer to fonacier's three points. with 4 fouls he managed to keep his cool and win the game. can you believe this guy.

I also have to give credit to the other players of lasalle. without them there would be no game 3 this saturday. BJ Manalo showed what he's made of by making sure he gets those baskets. Cardona played his "am the king of the court whaaaaah give me the ball" game all the way. He also made excellent shots and assists. Yeo also played astonishingly well. Imagine he was jumping up and getting rebounds. Sharma was great as well he sunked all his free throws. Papa Santa Maria who almost got injured showed this atenean wannabe champions that lassalle cant give up the thrown easily. Urra even made his first apperance (get me if am wrong) remarkably good, coz he's far better than that TANG guy who made us look bad in game 1 (yes blame it all to the short guy). He had a few slips, but he made good steals and rebound. DLSU's defense was one thing that contributed to winning game 2. they were pressing all the way. from the first second of the game to the last 3 seconds. DLSU ruled the first 3 quarters having an average of 12 point lead but when the 4th quarter came ateneo was able to cut the 20 point lead to 3 points with 5 minutes remaining on the clock. now this is a true test of who really deserved this championship title. and as expected the true winners were the ones who got it.

Wow it felt so good. We won. We won the game. and i know for a fact that game 3 tickets will be one of the most valuable thing in the face of the earth this saturday -- as far as lasallians and ateneans are concerned (good thing i already have tickets). now the question is who will win. and not how much are you willing to pay to watch your team win or lose?

LET'S GO ARCHERS! GO GET FIVE!

here's my late friday five

1. What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind?
hmm sometimes i go for a drive in the afternoons just before the sun sets. there's this new church in coastal i forgot the name but it has a great view. not to mention a no traffic no pot holes no bus allowed road. sometimes i do yoga... sometimes i just listen to joolz gianni. of course i also take a long warm bath while watching tv. (i have tv in my bathroom)

2. What do you do the moment you get home from work/school/errands?
watch tv. take a bath.

3. What are your favorite aromatherapeutic smells?
vanilla, airplanes, brewing coffee, the smell of the ocean 3 kms away from the beach, and new cars. i love the smell of new cars. aaaahhhhh.

4. Do you feel more relaxed with a group of friends or hanging out by yourself?

ice cream on sizzling plate
yesterday was a bit depressing. not coz of the semiformal attire in an enclosed parking lot graduation practice, nor the 3 minutes pose for the class picture, nor the 100 flights to get the 50 pound yearbook, not to mention mental, emotional, and physical starvation. it was all because of the 9 plus seconds of basketball that we (dlsu) should have won. yes i can hardly grasp the truth of what happened yesterday. we fucking lost to ATENEO. 72-70. a tight match. a freaking heart leaping i can hardly breathe game.

we can have tomorrow
i still cant get over the shock of game 1. how the hell did ateneo snagged it. probably happened for a reason. coz look on the bright side game 2 would be exciting for both sides. ateneo beating lasalle and lasalle screaming not yet ready to give up thrown. yup lasalle players were a bit overconfident in game 1 --- good thing they lost. being in the finals is not just pure luck... it's pretty much hard work. if you keep on doing stunts the other team makes the basket and you lose. always remember it's not about how you make the basket its about making that basket. even free throws are crucial.

waiting for things to happen
i had another long day yesterday. it started with WTC exhibit. ron and amy picked me up at school then we went to faura to pick up tere. the four of us then went to WTC to meet erwin. the exhibit was composed of franchising opportunies and the so so metal industry. and thanks to erwin for getting us in for free. there were a lot of free drinks and sushi. and the best part was the 36000 bucks franchise of Nacho King. talk about a low capital business. the five of us were thinking of getting one and setting it up in school. it would be a sell out.

around 3:00pm we went back to school to get our togas and so so awards. we got the best practicum award and the most socially responsible award. each of us: pyao, tere, amy, carlo, carol, ron, zeus, chie, katz and i got a gold medal (a controversy behind this -- we didn't get the medal.) bad part the medals will arrive 2 weeks from now. kindda disappointing coz most of us are looking forward to wear it at graduation on saturday. but what else can we do? we ranted and ranted and ranted.

we had dinner at glorietta. it was semi fun. well because my flavor of the month showed up. now thats a real upper.

then i went to joey's to watch topsy-turvy. the supposedly jam packed brash was just a clutter of empty 80's chairs and 3 individuals sharing a couch. joey, alia and aouie were the only ones there. i wasnt able to enjoy and finish the film. it was nicely done and seemingly hillarious in some point. but all in all it was too much color and too much of a mumbo jumbo of people. a lot of story twined into one. not to mention the sound sytem was ok but a bit off for the film. i hardly understand what they were singing or saying.

you cant get it back
i went to school yesterday for my company's very first marketing class presentation. finally we got in. after 2 terms of nagging the marketing department. hahaha we're gods. as usual the whole ironwings gang was there except for KATZ. zeus and chie were the ones to talk on stage while me, carol, amy and tere handed out the sales kit to the students... and i cant believe we were adressed as alumni. gash it was like yesterday i was seated there watching marketing presentations blab about money. who would have thought now it was our turn.

the presentation went well and the competion was not at all stiff. the first company were a bunch of old maids (hahaha this is not proven yet) who were well prepared with samples and sales kits and acetates. their product was way weird a salonpas wannabe that looked ewwww and smelled like barbeque sauce. who the hell would like to put that in their skin. not to mention the kids are suppose to sell that gooky stuff at 300 bucks -- talk about monkey business. the other group was a young couple (and i mean young) selling a 3 piece business suit for women for a low price of 1800 bucks --- fairly reasonable.

after that so so historical event we headed to carlo araw's house for a sumptuous dinner prepared by his mom. the food at araw's is always at its best... no wonder his sister and brother were that healthy. we had sausage marinara, oyster mushrooms, teppanyaki, buffalo wings, the best salad, and that apple with nuts that i didn't try. for dessert we had sweet banana cooked in sugar and water (minatamis na saging). when everyone was stuffed carlo's mom gave us a toast with a few words of encouragement and praise (hey we bagged the best practi award what else can they say). but the supposedly long night (possibility of karaoke and gay bar hopping) was cut short (some of us had to go to other places --- this is for you ron) we really had fun --- even without the carol non-stop laugh parade. am really thankful i got in this mess with these guys. i can see we'll never lose touch even after graduation. they're great. and with that i know i had the best college experience. thanks
wow what a day... but im too tired to write. ill write it tomorrow

Ever wonder what the web would be like if and when children with Multiple Personality Disorders grew up and were able to have a hay-day with their disorders? What if they never got help at all? Well, that's what's happened on the web, and I'm here to expose those people.

chatterbox?
got this from sara (who ever she is)
there's this guy who calls himself SB (sour bob --- fair enough). he's ranting about hordes of people who bury their blogs in cliché and mindless chatter. not that i give a crap... but who do you think you are? this is not to attack you or anything. you have your own brilliant way of putting sauce on the meat as they say. the thing is what ever happens to to self expression (its me eating my words). as if the people you painstakingly mock care if you even bother to read whatever crappy, boring, dull and often trivial, minutiae of their daily life. yes those waste's of bandwidth where desperate and self indulgent people would just shove pictures of their cat or their recent underwear collection or endless slideshows of their recent vacation in your face. this IS NOT "content". ah but thats the bain... its not about creating note worthy content --- is it? its about creating ENOUGH (as morbus would say) content so that people will look at it, thinking you have something important to say. HOLY CRAP! whats the world coming into? to think blogger hasn't laid down rules... there are still no boundaries... there are still no limits. and so the blog wars emerge... can't we have peace. even in the internet
something productive to start my day
- read a book... and finish it before starting a new one
- go back to the gym (this is not a request its an order)
- finish reading this interesting site
- free myself of junk food (whaaaaaaaah i think i'll start this tomorrow)
whaaaaaaaaah. the fishes in my aquarium are disappearing... whaaaaaah.
last week mom bought two malnourished Janitor fish and dropped them off the tank without my permission. the usual suspects. darn it.
there's a lurker in my blog... who are you. not that i care or anything... just wondering.
whaaaaaaaaah while i was answering Generation why form my freaking pc crashed!
"f you find your personal path to be different than an established one, I think that is a success, not a failure" --- styn
Just had another Iron Wings meeting. It was fun to see my old group mates ranting and raving about our unlimited supply of butterfly chairs. To think the Pyao and Carol weren't able to make it... 2 less mouths open. thank goodness. Oh i missed those days where we don't even bother to eat (NOT! we're a must eat or else kind of group) or sleep just to finish those damn chairs. Even though we get to subcontract the frames and the canvasses we still have to dye the canvasses with our bare hands... talk about less work. Yup to think graduating college would let me go of the hot water, soon after this you'll get pimple attack, stinky smelling hands, dirty staining water, could dry your hands and you've got to wait a day to dry dyeing process. Guess not... coz i think the 10 months was not enough... we still have 80 chairs to dispose of.

Hoping and wishing Carlo's Marketing Program would lessen the burden.

im trying to live with this. hoping it gets in my system.

today's friday five

1. Would you say that you're good at keeping in touch with people?
I suck when it comes to keeping in touch... but the thing is all the people who knows me know that i suck at this department. so no worries --- even though i dont see, hear, or talk to them. they all know i keep them close --- in my heart

2. Which communication method do you usually prefer/use: e-mail, telephone, snail mail, blog comments, or meeting in person? Why?
I'd like to say personally but then that would be a lie... since i hardly have time to do chitchats unless in social occasions. so i prefer using my cellphone. giving them a small one minute hello --- or i miss u text would do just fine for me.

3. Do you have an instant messenger program? How many? Why/why not? How often do you use it?
I used to have ICQ but then it crashed my computer... hotmail messenger but it has toooo many spam. now i just have yahoo messenger. i use it all the time --- i get to say hi to friends whenever they are online.

4. Do most of your close friends live nearby or far away?
Some of my friends live kindda far --- so its hard to keep in touch. but i try my best to keep in touch.

5. Are you an "out of sight, out of mind" person, or do you believe that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"?
out of sight, out of mind
You're always going too soon
I met up with carol and justin at Brother's Burger Rockwell yesterday for some early junkie dinner and chitchat. I almost forgot how i totally missed Carol, and her funny antics. She wasn't able to come with us in Baguio and she wasn't able to go to Yap's party. Whaaaaaah. This is what happens when there's no school. you dont get to see your friends anymore --- unlike before you push them away coz "sawa ka na sa pagmumukha nila" (they're the only once you see all the time). Erwin and Sara dropped by after their work --- gash they're working and earning moooolahs. unlike the rest of us slackers. after feasting on Carol and Justin's Banana Moist Cake (because of lack of better things to do the couple started baking ---- ewwww) --- it was delicious and very moist --- Erwin left promising to come back around 7:30. While Amy and Chie were late as usual --- arriving an hour after 5. We started dinner without the two. Our conversations revolved in finding work. Our current loveless lives. How fucking weird the films are nowadays. And trying to contact Tere. After the junkie high cholesterol dinner Carol and Justin left to catch Van Wilder I left around 7 just in time when Ryan and Kevin dropped by. imagine that.
disturbing behavior
The only thing worse than losing your mind... is finding it again.

saw David Cronenberg's Spider yesterday... a true masterpiece. the first few 6ish minutes was quite a drag --- realizing the beauty of how it all weaves its way through it. a perfect web is not made in a sec. it is carefully laid down thread by thread just like how cronenberg masterfully coined Spider. i was utterly distrubed by the yellow index finger --- wondering the point in it. had a couple of weird sightings during the film:

1. 3 dumbstruck 20ish guys each with a popcorn in hand took a seat 3 rows below me. just after the lord of the rings trailer they got up and left... and they never came back. i figured coz i kept count of the people inside the cinema... (talk about bored)
2. a guy with a dv camera was standing behind a wall i can see him... he can't see me (hahahaha what is he doing??? go figure) who wont see him he was wearing a white shirt and there were minature lamps above the wall.
3. very unusual... a 7ish boy with yaya (he was still wearing his uniform) walks in the middle of the film. they sat at the row on my right side. the boy was very eager and very gigglish. disturbing part: he kept on analyzing the characters as if he was not 7ish.

wow finally found the friday five
I think am excused for the 6 day lateness since i was on a trip last friday... nehows here it is

1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?
I think i enjoyed some of my Literature classes since i just had 2 of them. sucky me i took up business in college realizing its not what i wanted. but in the end i think ill figure out what to do with life.

2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
None they all painstakingly suck. My school sucks i guess. or it is just me ranting on a heaty thursday

3. What is your favorite memory of school?
Well besides boywatching and all. i guess hanging out with my friends... so-called friends. and missing it already

4. What was your favorite recess game?
Jungle bars back in gradeschool. Then in college... then next guy who walks by

5. What did you hate most about school?
how you wish it all ends and wish it doesnt... school life

Saw S1MONE and SERVING SARA

- it was nicely done. the cinematography was enticing
- still can't believe simone is a computer
- al pacino looked very young (weird)
- i loved the scene where the eye appeared in the background of hank

- pretty lame your somewhat typical comedy where the guy gets the girl in the end (sappy sappy sappy)
- matthew perry's still chandler in any movie
- type of movie you get to see on public transpos
Life surprises me everyday
Talked to Ryan on the phone last night. Ryan's one of those good friends that i don't get to see and talk to much, but the minute we do it is as if we get to see or talk very often. Our conversation started with the usual "hows life, aint it a pain in the ass" talk. Then after a few laughs and sobs on our daily dramas, he started on the heating issue between some of my friends. Which by the way semi-kinda involved his girlfriend Kim. He confided some obscure things that people are saying about me. Which of course he find hard to believe. And telling me, was not closure but as COURTESY --- the most frequent word of our conversation.

True friends are rare --- not hard to find but rare. But once you get yourself one its freaking hard to handle. Maintaining is a bane, and keeping is a death sentence. All my college life i thought people will be different. More mature, more understanding, and would careless. But to my disappointment there are a lot of lost kids in college. Screaming. Throwing tantrums. Some are trying to figure out who they are, what they want, and where they want to go. In the process they make friends, they make enemies, they make friends their enemies, and they make their enemies their friends. It all goes round the feriswheel. Up and Down.

The people dear to us are often the ones who hurt us the most. Accepting hurts. Reality hurts. trusting again --- is a tough question we face each day.

I'm gonna miss Ryan --- am gonna miss college. Gonna miss the fun times. And missing hurts, especially knowing that some things are still left unresolved between me and some of my girl friends.

got this from meg... surprisingly we're both CLANLESS

You aren't sure where you came from. Perhaps your sire did an embrace and run. Or maybe your sire was an outcast himself. Either way, your powers are unique and really don't belong to any clan...or maybe a little from each. Because you of these circumstances, you aren't really sure where you belong. You tend to wander and do a bit of soul searching in your eternal life. Maybe some day...you have a while after all

What Vampire Clan Do You Belong To?

Test Created By

it finally sinked in. yep today marks the day. the dreaded day of acceptance. the day i leave it all behind. whaaaaaaaaah. am old. am old. wondering what will happen. wondering if things will happen between me and my new flavor of the month. guessing could be easy. wondering would be better. but i guess waiting is the answer.

I feel sooooo happy
Nothing fancy but the party "that i could miss" --- according to SAMANTHA --- turned out great. Yap celebrated his 20th birthday at SIBIL (i fucking hate the guard --- he thought i was asking for parking so he didn't let me inside the "exclusive party" good thing Ace saved the day). As usual i went to Kring's house then after an hour Marku picked us up and then we went to pick up super sexy Hanix (in super short skirt --- WOW). We arrived at SIBIL around 8:15pm too early for the 7:00am party coz the only people inside were Diko and Diko's girlfriend Monica, Kevin, Kim, Ace, Ryan (the rich celebrant who closed the bar exclusive for this event), Ogie (i assume i got your name right), and Ryan's classmates or friends. It was my first time at the place cause i wasn't able to attend the batch party last summer that was held at the same venue. So after scouting my favorite hangout (the bathroom --- i have a weak bladder) for an average of 10 times. We painstakingly wait in hunger for the rest of the gang who eventually started appearing around 10 ish. WAY early dinner i suppose. Not to mention Ryan de Leon (who just started driving without a driver) cracked his windshield on his way to the party.

All the guys wore rolled up long sleeves or polo and black slacks --- which made them look "TAO" for a change. Especially Harish! who was one of the star of the night.

The food: was semi ok (well honestly it was crappy my carbonarra had ants, the calamares was toooo "matigas", the lumpia sucked, i didn't try the barbeque, the sisig was normal, the blueberry vodka tasted like plastic (am not implying i eat plastic) and the ice tea was the next best thing (coz it was unlimited).

The people: Ryan Yap (celebrant), Ace, Gons, Gerry, Marku, Diko and Diko's girlfriend Monica (i love saying that), Kevin, Erwin, Ron, Harish, Jonas, Araw, Ryan de Leon, Kim, Nicelle, Pyao, Kring, Hanix, Chie, Amy, Sara, Chat (who came after sneaking out her condo), and many more people i have no idea who they are.

The song: Happy by Square Heads everybody danced when this song was played. Funny i was happy too. funny and sad at the same time...

and to wrap it up i'll probably remember this day, this night, this event... whatever. cause for a very long time, i was satisfied. i felt alive. i felt happy. if happiness is a feeling and not a state of being.

How indie are you?
test by ridethefader

You're really enthusiastic about the music that you like. You attempt to discover your new favourite
band every week. You continually try to get your friends into the music you like, which annoys the fuck
out of them, but you don't know it. At least you're not arrogant about it.

burning down the house
a true story on burning your own house (whether this is some sick rumor or a sickening truth i don't fucking care)
around 2:50am i heard a number of bangs (hesitating if it was multiple gunshots). it turns out my neighbor was shouting "SUNOG, TULONG, SUNOG." at around 3:00am the whole neighborhood was up in their sacks and started filling the supposed to be empty streets. 3:10am still no fucking firetrucks! I tried to stay calm about it... but i can't i dialed the village guard to ask whether they know that the house in front of my house was burning! this was the reply of the village guard: "sorry mam wala po kaming mahagilap na bumbero!" FUCKING SHIT! the freaking house was in ashes and still no firetrucks? what's the world coming into? what if my house was on fire... who do i call? good thing my brother got the car and went out to look for a firetruck (talk about hero of the day) i guess if it wasn't for him the whole street of houses could have burned down. imagine it took an hour and a half to fetch a firetruck. whaaaaaah. you'll defenitely die in this country!

yahoooooo am offf to baguio
wow i can't believe how alike alia and i are... got this from alia

If I lived in Middle-Earth, it would be in:
The Bay of Belfalas

The sea is calling you too. The heat, the ocean, and moderate population of people is sufficient for you. You may not be much of a beach person, but the coastline environment provides the best balanced combination of everything: nature & urbanization, seclusion & socializing, and especially the moderate weather conditions; however, you can bear the heat quite easily.

whaaaaaah am freakin frantic! i still havent packed. 10 more hours. i still have 10 more hours before we leave. whaaaaaaaaah
Mom's Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday Mom. hope you have more freaking years to come.

Sunday, September 08, 2002

I just saw the jologs and honestly it was quite a treat. pinoy movies finally improved -- after ten years of watching action stars running and taking cover from a car explosion, mother got separated at birth, and love tandems (of course juday and piolo can't take the camera away from their so beautifu faces so they insisted on a cameo). well i have to give them some credit for the effort. the movie was not an oscar or some banketa either. tho the movie still has a lot of empty spaces to fill but at least they started filling the gaps. i liked how they shadowed the characters. i enjoyed the john pratts matrix thingy. the gay dude played his role so well. tho the score sucked.
whaaaaaaaaaaaah we're leaving Monday night for Baguio. I haven't packed whaaaaaaah. I'm soooo packing EXCITED!!!!!

the longest day continued
5:59 am --- why am i freaking up? i still have 2 hours to spare --- but am up packing sheet! my back hurts whaaaaaaah am getting old

September 6, 2002
8:45 am --- my packing mom arrived
9:10 --- got home, ordered the maid to buy me some Big Breakfast (am starved as always)

9:12 --- txted gian to confirm about the jap film fest at the shangrila
9:15 --- breakfast arrived
10:00 --- took a warm bath (aaaaaahhhhhhhh)
11:00 --- left the house.
11:10 --- arrived at RFC
11:15 --- called gian (where the pack are you, the film starts at 1!)
11:45 --- still no gian bought myself a pack of cigs --- no packing winston lights resorted to a pack of malboros (yuck!)
12:10 pm --- freaking mr. am always late should have figured by now FINALLY ARRIVED

*i dunno if am gonna finish this

12:55 --- we arrived at shang --- thanks to the wonders of MRT you get to anywhere in a span of minutes
1:00 --- we packing got to the cinemas

guard: mamayang 2:00 pa ho ang screening
me: ah ganon ba
me: pwede na pumasok
guard: hindi pa... balik kayo 1:40

me looking at gian: so what is it there for us to do?
gian: sige libot nalang muna tayo
gian: hanap tayo ng SONY store
me: kain nalang tayo (i didn't like the sound of that)
gian: cge bahala na, basta baba tayo (i didn't like the sound of this either! hahahaha)

and off we went around and round shangrila la land --- the packing mall was sheet! it was pretty deserted and there's no freaking sony store --- as to what manong guard said

me: manong san ang sony store?
manong guard: ah dun sa baba may tv sony (pointing down the escalators with his walkie talkie)
me: giving him a weird look
manong guard: ahhh meron din sa taas bagong tv sony din. tignan nyo nalang
gian: laughing his brains off

1:40 pm --- went down the food court to buy food --- gian's zinger was 10 minutes long to take so we agreed to meet inside the cinema
1:42 --- bought me self nacho king biggie! yum yum
1:55 --- got in the cinema --- pack the show started --- it packing said 2:00 its packing 1:56! ok shut up and watch the packing show

the first movie was OSAKA STORY (Osaka Monotogatari)
- the packing film started way ahead of time (i packing missed the best part)
- the freaking film was so blurry (was it the intention --- i dont think so --- coz we can hardly read the pathetic subtitles)
- the packing film was too small for the screen
- the packing film was a long documentary
- the packing people who watched it praised it after (not that it sucks, but common, i hardly read the freaking subtitles)
- there's a movie interval every 30 minutes --- it all goes black --- so we missed the best parts
- the packing film sounds like anime
- the packing film has its own version of rolling down the grassy tagaytay with your "minamahal" eeeeek
- whaaaaaaaaah this is probably why it was freeeee

after that gruesome first film. we head out to megamall to catch whatever's left of the bookfair

got some really cool book and magazines
Autographed copy of Twisted 6!!!!!!!
this month's Cosmopolitan with a free back issue

4:30 pm --- went back to shang to catch the next flick Nabbie's Love

Finally a better movie. The lights improved tho at times the film was still blurry. the film was hillarious in a sense that it tried too hard to be. the flashback as a silent movie was the icing on the cake. the story was about the overrated overused overlydone unrequited love. common after 60 years you still love the person who left you --- talk about getting a life. but i dont blame nabbie for eloping with sun ra. love is still love. i was deeply touched by the undying love of nabbie's real husband --- how he sold his precious cow in order to buy a massage chair for nabbie, now that's love. the score was very melodic and very nice --- especially the ending where everyone was happy. during the film it made me wonder whether it was more of a musical than a silent movie.

7:00 --- James texted us and asked if we could all have dinner
7:15 --- James arrived
7:30 --- we decided to eat at Frio Mix Shang (wow can't believe this small snack bar in BF made its mark all the way here in ortigas)
9:00 --- afte much debate on wheter to catch another movie or not. i decided to go home which the two boys eventually followed.
10:00 --- i got home! yeah time to start reading my new book. if i feel like it. ill probably tell you all about the book
THE LONGEST DAY
10:15 pm --- i just got home from a long day....

5:00 am --- packing mom woke me up (for an insane reason i told her so?)
5:30 --- got up, brushed my teeth, wore my trainers, grabbed a bannana, then went out the door realizing my packing mom was the one to drop me off the gym ----- whaaaaaaah
6:00 --- we finally left the house
6:30 --- attended yoga class --- at 6:30 in the morning the packing gym was packed! good thing i was able to get a nice spot (not too near ms abs --- the instructor --- yet not too far).
7:30 --- yoga class ended --- backaches, neck strains, dead arms and a sleepy head --- now that's YOGA
7:45 --- went down gym's lobby for free coffee, got my mom a FITNESS FIRST UMBRELLA (she collects umbrellas that she doesn't use --- go figure), and read the newspaper.
8:00 --- i was up for my second cup --- wondering where the hell my mom is
8:15 --- i was tru reading the Philippine Star, so i picked up the Philippine Daily Inquirer from a nearby table
8:30 --- after an hour of waiting for my sundo and texting 5 times the same "san na kyo?" --- i called my mom (stuck in traffic daw)

to be continued... my back really hurt. whaaaaaaaah
whaaaaaah my back hurts!

Which Sims Edition Are You?

and another one

The Smiths
I am the epitome of unrequited love but at least I do something constructive with it.. sing beautiful songs, which will continue to win audiences over years after we have split up. I can be wistful, cathartic and depressive but at the same time I am a very deep, thoughtful person. More than likely I am contemplating something very important even if I don't look like the sort! I think before I speak and so what I say somehow has more meaning. Basically, I'm a well rounded person so nyah :p

what movie symbolism are you? find out!

Brash Young Cinema -- The TV show
Wow Brash Young Joey's got it going! He's gonna have an episode shoot of the BRASH YOUNG CINEMA tv show this Friday, Sept. 7, 2002. another historical event for most of us. with special guests like Quark Henares(director of Gamitan), Michi Valeriano of MYX and Lyndon Gregorio of Beerkada. Of course if i get to go i could be one of the special guests. hahaha. asenso na! Although he missed mentioning about the airing of the show, still thumbs up to you Joey.

Joey's this twenty if not thirty sumthing dude who got inspired and set up a cinema right down the basement of his mom's building (get me if am wrong). talk about boring right? well i think its kind of amusing (quite a trendsetter) and cool. i know the place used to be free, but in times like these (you need a juicy! hahaha) the fishbowl upfront the cinema would be accomodating anything even ten cents!. i've only been there once (hoping i could drop by once in a while) the first time was on an indiefil gig wherein the only reason i dropped by was to pic up my limited ed MEMENTO dvd from meg. the place was packed with indiefil people like ramon, alia, carlo, i dunno if chris is indiefil, mich and her interns, neva, kara, brash regualars which i wasn't able to meet, quark henares, mo, some malate people (i dunno how the hell they knew about brash), and a lot of others.

Walking in the rain
I woke up at around 6:30 am --- well that wasn't a first but the heck I'm suppose to be sleeping up to 1pm --- to finally be able drag myself to the gym I've been slacking for about a month, wasting my monthly fee and killing myself in the process. so after convincing myself to go i hitched a ride with my sister --- but we went house hunting first (she's looking for a good house model --- she finally got the moolahs for a new house). After almost an hour of going around villages, she got tired and dropped me off at fitness first. i know deep inside she's still a bit jealous coz her gym sucks and its way expensive. As expected i wasn't able to last more than an hour at the rowing machine (as i used to) and i almost fainted when i stood up. gash am i that flabby. NOT. anyway it was fun i was able to meet some old instructors, saw simon (the mooolah rich gay dude from school), saw charlene (nix's cousin), had a lot of free iced-tea, had a sauna bath, and got myself real soaked in the rain. go figure. with no breakfast i ran all the way from my gym to the nearest shed. talk about cardioexercise. but when i got to the shed the rain suddenly stopped. whaaaaah. and that's not the worst part. my friend james accidentally crashed his car to a pedicab then his bumper fell off then the pedicab ran away. i guess am soooo responsible coz i kept texting him. assuming he had a driver with him. whaaaaaaah

RING RING RING
I got myself in the deep well. i cant believe i went through with six hours of scary shit. after seeing the infamous RINGU at greenbelt with gian, beans, peter and maree (gian's friend) i became this dumbstruck paranoid who can't sleep. SADAKO will probably haunt me for a week! imagine i wasn't able to notice it was 6 hours long. coz i was pretty much twitching in my seat cursing or curling my legs like a baby. whaaaaaaaah. i still can't talk about the movie coz its about 2:30 am and am alone in my room, with a tv. whaaaaah. and to think most of the people who watched it with me are probably sound asleep. whaaaaaah
